IBUg 2009 – Vernissage from August 28th to 30th

From August 28th to 30th the former VEB Leuchtenbau opens its doors to the public. Within the special ambiance of the old factory buildings, that will be redesigned by famous artists in the two weeks before, the visitors will see unique art. Graffiti, street-art and installings are the artistic forms of expression thereby - the men of action come from Germany and Europe. Among this group are counted the artist STUKA from Hamburg City, Loomit or emil one, for some names. They all find authenticiation in the scene and »they will find their way to involve the present conditions like old installings, engine parts, cable looms or windows. And they understand the gaming and experimantation with the uncommen architecture.« The truth behind these words of the Graffiti artist Tasso, whose hometown is Meerane and who is the creative head behind the IBUg, should visitors check on the ground.

The best season in the year is starting to end and the last days of summer can hardly be used better than with visiting a festival like IBUg2008!

August 1st to 15th:

Creative period with artists like Loomit, ta55o, Dekor Labor and much more

Press BBQ (closed to the public)

August 16th & 17th:

Open Doors from 10 am to 6 pm

August 16th:

IBUg2008 Urban Culture Festival
start 9 pm; Party with Red Bull Pinzgauer Show Truck, DJ D’dread (L.E. Street Art_Affair) & Chill Out Lounge

Tickets:

Regular rate: valid on August 16th or 17th, 10 am to 6 pm

Adult: 3,50 €
Reduced: 2,00 €

Special rate: valid on August 16th or 17th, 10 am to 6 pm and for IBUg2008 Urban Culture Festival, start 9 pm

One rate: 5,00 €

Tickets are available on both event days at the entry. Information about the festival (artists, bands, DJs) will follow soon.

Some European countries seem to be very interested in IBUg2008. The English street art magazine „Graphotism“ is now official media partner of IBUg2008. Spanish street art channel „Arteurbano.TV“ will cover IBUg2008 as well as French „Xplicit Grafx“ magazine.
